Product circularity

Circularity refers to the concept of designing and operating systems, processes, and products in a way that promotes the continuous use and regeneration of resources. It is based on the principles of the circular economy, which aims to minimize waste, maximize resource efficiency, and create a closed-loop system where materials and resources are kept in circulation for as long as possible.

In a circular economy, the traditional linear model of “take-make-dispose” is replaced by a more sustainable approach. Instead of extracting raw materials, using them to create products, and then disposing of them as waste, circularity focuses on reducing, reusing, recycling, and recovering materials throughout their lifecycle.
