Steel SBU Leaders Visit Iberia Plants

In early September, the members of the Steel SBU Leadership team embarked on a tour of the three Greif Iberia locations to meet and engage with all the local plant leaders and colleagues. The first stop on their tour was Don Benito, then Póvoa de Santa Iria and they ended at Martorell. Each plant visit strengthened internal operations and colleague relationships. In addition, each plant was excited for the opportunity to showcase their collective commitment to operational excellence on behalf of the Greif Iberia region.

The visit was led by Claudio Menezes, Director Operations Iberia, and attending with him were Andreas Fassbender, SBU Leader, Marco Kraetz, EMEA Central; Abdennour El Mosor, Operations Director-EMEA South; and Sandor Orban, Sales Director Central-East Europe.

During the plant visits, the SBU leadership team recognized the impressive work of each of the Iberia teams. Andreas remarked, “We met a highly motivated, engaged, and committed team. Safety is a priority, and each team presented us with outstanding Kaizen improvements.” In alignment with the Creating Thriving Communities mission, Kaizen proposals were shared across all the plants.

Abdennour also recognized their relentless efforts to ensure their operations were best in class and it, “… showed great engagement that reflects continuous improvement towards all of our performance indicators.”

While in Don Benito, the SBU leaders also visited customer Pronat Spain, and reinforced Greif’s commitment to Delivering Legendary Customer Service. Abdennour remarked, “The interaction with one of our valued customers shows how our customer focus helps us build strong relationships and create value for their business.” He added, “We were very impressed by the processes and the volumes managed daily, adhering to the strictest hygiene regulations.”
