Cloth Cores

Available as either convolute-wound or spiral-wound contruction.

Cloth cores find use in various industrial and commercial applications. They are made by winding layers of paperboard around a central axis, creating a tubular shape. The resulting structure provides strength and stability to the core, making it ideal for high-volume applications.

The textile industry is the primary user of these cores, as they make a good base for winding and unwinding textiles during manufacturing and processing.

Spiral wound construction provides exceptional crush strength where required due to packaging and/or handling considerations. Convolute wound construction cloth tubes provide the most cost-effective alternative, providing exceptional beam strength at minimal tube weight. Consistent performance means cloth tubes can help you maintain consistent product manufacturing standards.

Durability

Spiral wound construction built for the long haul - capable of protecting fabrics from moisture, dust, and other environmental factors, as well as physical damage during transit.

Value-driven

Corrugated cloth cores offer a good balance of cost and performance, especially considering their reusability and the potential for recycling.

Sustainability

Your needs for durability and quality construction are met using recycled paperboard as the core material. Cloth cores are also recyclable.

PAPER CIRCULARITY AT GREIF
