DELAWARE, OH – July 17, 2017 – Greif, a global leader in industrial packaging products and services, announces the expansion of its Houston, Texas, footprint by making a multimillion-dollar investment in an intermediate bulk container (IBC) manufacturing facility. The existing 100,000 square foot building is located in Baytown, Texas, and is scheduled to be operational during the second quarter of 2018.
Greif already has a multitude of plants with a broad product portfolio of steel, fibre and plastic drums in the Houston area, in addition to providing filling, packaging, warehousing, and export preparation all within an eighty mile radius. Adding IBC production in Baytown compliments the product line offering and increases their ability to meet all their customers’ expectations. This strategic investment puts at the forefront the company’s vision to become the world’s best performing customer service company in industrial packaging.
“This is an investment in our customers which will strengthen and align our production by providing a solution in a key US region for the specialty and bulk chemical and the petroleum and lube industries.
