In November 2018, Greif’s Flexible Products and Services (FPS) in China was named the “Excellent Supplier of the Year” by Huayou Cobalt.
Huayou Cobalt is a high-technology enterprise specialized in deep processing of cobalt. It is among the Chinese top-500 private manufacturers with an international presence in China, Indonesia and Congo. The main products of the company include lithium-ion battery cathode material precursor, cobalt chemical and copper nickel metals.

Greif FPS serves many customers throughout Asia, including three Huayou Cobalt plants in China, which makes Huayou Cobalt one of Greif’s largest regional key accounts.
Greif FPS began its partnership with Huayou Cobalt in 2013, after introducing the company to using big bags in its Chinese plants.
“A dedicated team of Greif experts worked with Huayou Cobalt to understand the exact needs and design appropriate packaging,” says S. Xu.
