(NYSE: GEF, GEF.B), a global leader in industrial packaging products and services, today announced Greif’s President and Chief Executive Officer Pete Watson will be the keynote speaker at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) annual meeting dinner, kicking off the four-day event.

The 2019 WBCSD Council Meeting will take place October 14-17 in Lisbon, Portugal. This year’s theme is Lead, Transform and Succeed. Greif is sponsoring the Council Dinner on October 14, where Mr. Watson will provide remarks focusing on the linkage between servant leadership and sustainability.

· Gold Rating in sustainability performance by EcoVadis, an independent rating agency specializing in the evaluation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), for the second year in a row. Greif scored in the top four percent of all companies evaluated by EcoVadis.
· Recognition from several customers including Solvay’s Supplier Sustainability Award. Solvay, a chemical company based in Belgium, recognized the company for its sustainability accomplishments and its ability to help customers achieve their sustainability goals.
· A- score for environmental leadership by the non-profit organization CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project).
