(NYSE: GEF, GEF.B), a global leader in industrial packaging products and services, today announced it has been awarded a Gold Rating in sustainability performance by EcoVadis for the third year in a row. EcoVadis is an independent rating agency specializing in the evaluation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), including sustainable development and performance monitoring of suppliers. This achievement places Greif among the top three percent of suppliers evaluated by EcoVadis.

EcoVadis bewertet mehr als 85.000 Unternehmen und verwendet eine Methodik, die jedes Unternehmen anhand von 21 CSR-Kriterien bewertet, die in vier Themenbereiche unterteilt sind: Umwelt, Arbeit und Menschenrechte, Ethik und nachhaltige Beschaffung. Die verwendete Methodik und die verwendeten Kriterien entsprechen internationalen CSR-Standards, darunter der Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), dem UN Global Compact und ISO 26000.
