Greif’s Rigid Industrial Packaging and Services facility in Usti, Czech Republic recently celebrated a major milestone, reaching a production total of one million steel drums during fiscal year 2018.
Greif’s plant in Usti is capable of manufacturing small, intermediate and large steel drums, with volumes ranging from 32 liters up to 216.5 liters. The product portfolio also includes internally coated drums and galvanized drums.
Suitable for rigid, loose or liquid substances, the steel drums are used in the oil, petrochemical and food industries, serving customers in the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria.
“Production of our one millionth drum for the 2018 fiscal year is a huge testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. It reflects the success of our in-house manufacturing expertise and our focus on providing outstanding customer service,” said Roman Weiss, plant manager in Usti.
