Greif colleagues representing 16 facilities in North America made the trip to Delaware, Ohio, to accept their individual Chairman’s Safety Excellence Award plaques at annual North America Chairman’s Safety Awards Dinner in mid-May. In 2018, we raised the scoring standards to earn the achievement of this award. The threshold achievement includes scoring a 90 percent or higher on a third-party audit and achieving a medical case rate of zero.
During 2018 there were 62 facilities worldwide earning the Chairman’s Safety Excellence Award. For the third consecutive year, we achieved an overall medical case rate below 1.0. We continue to make strides toward our goal of achieving zero accidents across our entire organization.
