At Greif, we now have the ability to print high resolution images directly onto steel drums using the latest print technologies.
This capability is the direct result of an investment designed to meet the needs of customers who are looking for ways to differentiate their products and generate impactful packaging design to support the price point of high value products.
A great example of this is Greif customer, Kroon-Oil. Marketing Manager Leon ten Hove explains: “We have been using printed barrels and drums as a marketing tool since 2006, when we celebrated our 100th anniversary. The one-off promotional tool was such a success that it became an ongoing marketing initiative. We recently looked at the print quality to determine where we could upgrade because the new artwork design needed depth and high contrast. Together with Greif, and their new printing capabilities, we have created a distinctive, high quality printed image and we couldn’t be happier with the results.”
Drum 360 is currently available from our facilities across Europe, we offer printing of complex logos, graphics and photography on our intermediate and large-sized steel drums.
“Where brand image is important to customers, high quality print and design on packaging is critical. Being able to print on steel drums enables customers to enhance their own marketing campaigns and events, launch new products in small quantities and test new designs,” explains Alain Sirejacob, Steel Drum Product Manager at Greif.
